Why do we have statues of George Floyd

You've been in my thoughts - How are you holding up these days???

A couple months back, someone asked me about the George Floyd statues  and Part 1 of my response is here!  The question was clearly thoughtful and reflective, struggling with abhorrence of the unjust way in which George Floyd died as well as what these statues may mean and feel like for people who had experienced his past crimes.

Before you dive in - what is your first, visceral reaction when you hear about or see a statue of George Floyd?  What does it represent to you?

On a separate note of gratitude, I'm returning from some much needed rest, play, and connection with family and wow - what a re-entry.  The world has not gotten any easier.

Which leads me to wonder - Have you taken some rest recently?  How are you taking care of yourself so that you can keep showing up in ways that make a difference?

In looking back, this was the most "Offline" I've been in the past 1 1/2 years, and with the amount of "screen time" these days, it was a welcome change to be outside for the majority of every day and rarely touch my phone, let alone computer.

It may take me a few days to fully catch up and get into the flow again. However, I'd love to hear your thoughts about the George Floyd statues AND how you're taking care of yourself.

What do they represent to you? How do you feel when you see them?

Hit reply and I look forward to hearing from you!

You matter. You can make a difference. I'm so thankful you're here.
