"New year is the glittering light..." ✨

It's a new year...and it arrives with both symbolic and practical opportunities to learn from the past and create a new future.

How are you feeling as you begin this new chapter?

I'll be honest, my winter break did not go as planned or expected. Even though there are so many people, experiences, and moments for which I'm incredibly grateful (and I took a true break from most of my work), I feel tired and behind as I move into this new year.

From what I'm hearing, there's a good chance you can relate.

Whether your break was everything you wanted it to be, or whether it fell short of the length, rejuvenation, and rest you truly needed, how you move into this new chapter can make a difference in how you feel throughout the days, weeks, and months ahead.

New year is the glittering light to brighten the dream-lined pathway of the future.  ~Munia Khan

Wouldn't you love to follow the "dream-lined pathway of the future"?

What a beautiful image.

First, however, you need the chance to dream.

Rather than plow forward in the game of perpetual catch-up, how can you create a space for intentional reflection and design a clear vision of how you want to live this year?

Many people I know have struggled to set aside this time to reflect, despite their honest desire and intentions to do so.

If you can relate, take 5 minutes now to jot down the first things that come to your mind when you consider the following questions:

What did you learn last year that you want to remember?

What other awareness, knowledge, and skills come with you from the past to enlighten this next chapter?

How do you want to live (really live) this year?

What will make this year meaningful and successful in your book?

Don't skip along...you know this will disappear before you can blink!😆 However, if you take just a few minutes now, you will plant the seeds and make it easier to come back to and enact as you move forward.

Speaking of making it easier… Did you know that many people choose the more challenging way to make changes, rather than the methods that are most effective?  Could this be true for you?  😉

As you begin this new year, consider this both permission and encouragement to make things easier on yourself...reduce the struggle, and feel the benefits!  To see more, check out this article, For better health this year, keep it simple!

You matter.  You can make a difference.  And, I'm so thankful you're here.
