Remembering, mourning, honoring

George Floyd was killed one year ago today.

What has changed in the past 12 months? What hasn't?

Anniversaries of significant moments are important for reflecting. What have we learned? What are we doing differently as a result?

As we eagerly await a return to "normal" - what parts of normal do we hope will resume?

Lots of questions to ponder.

There are many ways to remember, mourn, and honor the unnecessary and untimely lives lost.

As my dear friend L. said as I was deciding whether or not to hold a seminar on this day, "Keep going!! You're honoring Floyd by doing your part to make sure his story never repeats itself...People honor in different ways. We can light candles and rant and pray, but changing brains is powerful!"

You matter. You can make a difference. I'm so thankful you're here.
